The Georgetown Township Fire Protection District in Floyd County Indiana is seeking potentially 8 qualified applicants for the
position of Full-time 24/48 shift Firefighter/EMR with immediate openings available, and to create a 1 year (12 months from date
of list placement) hiring list.
• Starting Probationary Salary $40,000.00 Yearly
• Subject to Yearly Percentage based Salary Increases up to 3%

Basic Requirements
Age: Applicant must be 21 (Twenty-one) Years of age or older upon hire date
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
Certifications: Firefighter 1&2 (IFSAC or equivalent), Indiana Certified Emergency Medical Responder (Must Be EMT Certified within 12 months
of date of hire) , Hazardous Material Awareness and Operations, NIMS 100,200,700,800 (Must be completed within 3 Months of date of hire)
Posses: Valid drivers License (Shall have no DUI or Reckless driving convictions within the last 3 years), A valid Email address to be utilized
throughout the hiring process, Reliable transportation for commuting to and from station assignment.
Background: Must have no felony convictions that have not been expunged by a court.
Residence: Must be a U.S Citizen and legally able to work in the U.S, must be willing to Reside within a 50 Mile Radius of Station assignment.
Desired Certifications (Not Required): Fire officer strategy and tactics, Driver operator (General, Pumper, aerial, Mobile water supply), Technical
Rope Rescue Ops or Technician, Instructor 1, Fire officer 1, Incident Safety Officer
