The mission of the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District is to provide quality fire, rescue, and emergency services to the residents of Georgetown Township.

 

Tornado's

Saturday, March 3, 2012  We ask that you can keep all those effected by the tornado's on 3-2-2012 in your thoughts and prayers.  If you would like to help those effected please contact the American Red Cross. 

   


 

Tech Training

Thursday, February 23, 2012  Tech training will be this Saturday, February 25, 2012 at station 2 beginning at 0900.  We will be working on Rope Rescue.

   


 

Training

Saturday, February 11, 2012  Train as your life depends on it because it does!  Monday night volunteer training at 1900 hrs with LTFD at GTFD station 2. Training opportunities available with the paid crew Monday - Thursday. (Contact shift supervisor for further details)

   


 

Open House

Saturday, October 8, 2011 1200 to 16 We will be having an Open House today (10-8-2011) from 12-4. Everyone in the community is invited to come and look at the equipment, station, and training area. We will have not only GTFD apparatus but a helicopter from Air Methods and an ambulance from Yellow Ambulance.

   


 

Sept. 11

Sunday, September 11, 2011  Today we not only remember FDNY's 343 but also all others who gave their life Sept. 11, 2001. We also want to remember and say thanks to our armed services past and present who allow us to have our freedoms.

   


 

Open House

Saturday, August 27, 2011  GTFD will be having an OPEN HOUSE on October 8, 2011 from 12-4 pm. The public is invited to come out and tour the station and apparatus on Corydon Ridge Rd. We will have food, games, an ambulance from Yellow and a helicopter from Air Methods.

   


 

2011 Crusade For Children Firefighters Ball

Friday, August 12, 2011  Come out Aug 20 2011 and celebrate with Firefighters from all over Kentuckiana. This event is a celebration and a chance to Honor firefighters for their hard work and dedication to their communities, their profession, and The Crusade For Children.

This years Guest Speaker is Chief Rick Lasky. Author of Pride and Ownership A firefighters Love of the Job.

Great Silent Auction Items As well including A weekend rental of a Porsche Boxter courtesy of Bluegrass Automotive.

Dj Tank will be spinning all the hottest tracks to keep the Dance floor packed all night.
