September 2014 Training Update

September 2014 Training Update
The training division has been hard at work keeping our staff busy with a multitude of different trainings this month. We have two staff members that have taken and received state certification for Safety Officer class, implemented and trained on Triple Layer hose loads that we now use on our preconnect hand line (This is for quicker deployment of attack lines with minimal staff), Trench Rescue Awareness, Fire Behavior, Building Construction, and Hose Streams.

Moreover, we finished our in-house Emergency Vehicle Operations Class and conducted state testing for our EMR class. Our crew trainings and volunteer training’s have been built around strengthening our basic fundamentals and gaining knowledge in more complicated areas such as Technical Rescue.
